Self Realization Fellowship in Encinitas has a beautiful garden, and a temple which wasn't open. The garden consists of unique plants & flowers, a fountain with colorful fish, a security guard who politely yells at you when you threaten the fish population with your camera, and a homeless guy who pretends like he's meditating under a tree. The entrance is free, and the environment is peaceful and relaxing except for the little brats running around feeding the fish with tiny rocks. This is a must see place, even if you have to hitch hike for 2 days. I am hoping to see similar (or better?) gardens in Japan (at least I won't understand what the security guard is saying)
While my sweet bunny posts my funny pictures, I took the time to select and resize the photos from our latest photo outing. I came up with 12 photos about half of which are from the Self Realization Fellowship Temple, and other half from Swamis Beach near the temple. This could be my last batch with my lovely Sony Alpha A200 before I sell it for an upgrade, so enjoy ;)
EDIT: I was warned that I am going off-topic here, because this topic was not Japan-related. If you pay attention, I said "Sony" which is a Japanese company. I also said "Garden" which is also Japanese!
