I'm back for another installment of summer photos. The weather is beautiful here in San Diego, can't get enough of outdoor photography! Here are some of my pics from the month.
Saturday Photoshoot
Started off the month with a crazy photoshoot, all over San Diego! Checked out the Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle at NASNI first thing in the morning, and then tooled around downtown San Diego, Santee Lakes, and Kuymeyaay Lake taking shots. Click here to see some of the more interesting ones.Every month, the Photography Photo Meetup has a photo shoot somewhere in San Diego. This month it was at the Birch Aquarium and La Jolla. Afterwards Phil, Frank and I broke off for a trip up to the Salk Institute, UCSD, and the Torrey Pines Gliderport. We ended the day with some strange time exposure experiments back in La Jolla. I'll let you judge for yourself whether we were high: click here.
Did a short visit to Sunset Cliffs one evening, and got off a couple of shots before I lost the light. Click here for a few of the photos.
Oceanside
Experienced Oceanside for the first time, and had a blast! The sodium lights of the city and the Oceanside pier make for pretty incredible colors bounced against the nighttime clouds. Click here for more pics of Oceanside.
Getty Center
After the Getty Center, we headed south to get some sunset and twilight shots of the Santa Monica Pier. The amusement park attractions made for some interesting shots! Click here to experience Sunday night at the Santa Monica Pier.
Experiments with Corel Painter
Last, and definitely the best (in my honest opinion), I've been experimenting a lot with Corel Painter this month. If you're good, you can convert photos into paintings; it's amazing what you can do with it! Here are a few "paintings" that I've done this month, I'll be curious to hear what you think about them.
The blue sun is the coolest pic, along with the giant hamburger man! :)
