Welcome to my whale watching pics. This is the boat that we (the most elite members of the environmental dream team) took...

... and the 400 other people who got on the boat with us.

Aww... Dan and Ginette are such a cute couple. Too bad they "fell" overboard moments after this picture was taken and were soaking wet the rest of the trip.

There's nothing quite so nice as free whale watching tickets. Thanks Hornblower!

We were treated with great views of the San Diego Bay as we made our way to the Ocean. Here's the Coronado Bridge.

And a pic of downtown SD in our wake.

The SD Bay is a primo sailing area.

Views of the NASNI hangers with a downtown city backdrop.

Not often seen vantage point of the ARCO drydock at SUBASE
(with the FLIP being repaired inside)

Brian (with yet another empty beer bottle) and me, oblivious of all the great views we're missing.

Okay now to pictures of the whales. For those of you who have never seen a spout, this is what one looks like. This is generally how you can identify that there's a whale in the area.
Thar she blows!

Awesome rare visual of a whale fin.

Summer, and the infamous shirt that got her discounted tickets.

We were treated with a rare up-close visual during the northern migration, two whales getting it on. Dolphins in the area seemed to be oddly attracted to the porn as well.
Steamy action! Heh heh...
Enjoying the views of the setting sun on our way back to San Diego. From right to left: Ginette, Dan, Brian, Summer, and Tauyna (behind Summer, who we discovered is afraid of cameras)

Views of downtown San Diego cast against the setting sun were beautiful as we rolled back into port.
