Old Sacramento, beautifully preserved from the olden days.
No Home Depot in this town.

Something tells me there aren't all that many lawyers in this town.

Now that's a smart looking firehouse!

One of the best parts of exploring Old Sacramento is the sugar rush.

$1000 per barrel of sugar taffy. Prices aren't the same as they used to be in Old Sacramento.

The Capitol Building is a marked contrast to Old Sacramento.
There were even some peaceful demonstrators in front of the building.

Look closely in the corner window and you can see Schwarzenegger at his desk.
(ok, not really)

How's this for a postcard picture?

The Capitol Mall has a beautiful rose garden that was in bloom during my visit.
(No, I didn't purposely position that arch above my head)

Thanks Alfredo, for lending me your photography book!

The Capitol Mall is a prime location for wedding photos apparently.

Welcome to the Hyatt!

My last stop, before heading home, was the Crocker Art Museum.
Art museums usually aren't my thing, but...

How could I pass up this exhibit?
And who knew that Ansel Adams and Georgia O'Keeffe were friends.

Upstairs, the Crocker Museum was beautiful and decadent.

How'd you like to live in that castle?
