I stayed in San Francisco an extra day to explore Muir Woods National Monument. The dramatic change from city to forest was refreshing! I loved the combination of the towering trees and the moist coastal air!
Moss grew over everything!
This fallen tree was enormous.
I ended up doing a 6 mile RT hike. The lushness was reinvigorating after years of living in a coastal desert!
