I couldn't help myself, I had to introduce Gongzi to "jumping teddy bear cholla" before I left. These cactus have bulbs that will literally jump off the plant when you touch them, and imbed their tiny needles into whatever body part was unfortunate enough to touch them. Poor Gongzi, she spent several minutes painfully trying to get 3 needles out of her index fingers after we took this picture.
